Lydia & Shraddha presented posters at SfN

Lydia & Shraddha attended the Society for Neuroscience 49th annual meeting in Chicago and each presented posters. Great job representing the lab! Lydia presented a poster titled "Theta, alpha, and beta band oscillations related to value-directed strategic processing in cognitively normal younger and older adults". Shraddha presented a poster titled "Voxel-based morphometry in age-associated hearing loss: A preliminary study".

AANCL & Friends Walk to End Alzheimer's

The Aging and Neurocognition Lab and friends participated in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's in Champaign-Urbana. As always, it was an uplifting experience to see everyone supporting one another and to see how many people are committed to fighting Alzheimer's disease.

Rogers & Mudar receive NIDILRR grant aimed at helping older adults with cognitive impairment

A huge congratulations to Drs. Wendy Rogers and Raksha Mudar on receiving a collaborative grant from the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) with their collaborators at Weill Cornell Medicine and Florida State University. Drs. Rogers and Mudar are the principle investigators on the grant for the University of Illinois team. This grant is aimed at helping older adults with cognitive impairment, such as that due to mild cognitive impairment, stroke, and traumatic brain injury.
